Rain Radar AU - BOM Radar: Up-to-the-Minute Weather Information
Rain Radar Plus Australia is a weather application designed for iPhone users that displays rain and wind radar data from the Australian Bureau of Meteorology (BOM). The app offers a range of features, including full-screen mode, landscape support, pinch and pan zooming, favourites list, GPS location, nearest radars list, national radar, observation layers (wind speed, wind direction, rain since 9am), and more.
One of the best features of the app is that it automatically updates the available list of radars and ranges without requiring version updates. It also allows users to display animated radar images full screen, zoom in or out with double tap or pinch and pan, and turn on/off all available overlays independently. The app also displays the national consolidated radar and satellite images.
